“Although the December 2004 Tsunami and March 2005 Earthquake did not damage the Lagundri Bay surfing area, 80% of the major port towns on Nias were destroyed, with over 1,000 killed and most bridges damaged, so we do not recommend surfers holiday there during 2005″
